What are the advantages of working with Snowden Financial compared to other wealth advisors?

As an independent firm, we are not bound by the products and services of one organization, but rather we have the flexibility of sourcing optimal solutions for our clients from the open marketplace.

We are not conflicted by the pressure to promote proprietary products to our clients. Instead, we are free to offer unbiased advice based solely on each client's needs.

Does Snowden Financial have a minimum net worth for clients?

No, we do not have a set minimum to accept a client. We work with clients that are committed to following a plan to achieve their goals. However, not everyone is a good fit for our services. If you are struggling with managing your monthly cash flow or debt payments, then a credit counselor might be a more appropriate professional to meet with at this time.

Where are my assets held?

Snowden Financial does not take custody of client assets. Instead, we have retained National Bank Independent Network as our custodian to safeguard your assets.

Are my assets covered by CIPF (Canadian Investors Protection Fund)?

Customers' accounts are protected by the Canadian Investor Protection Fund within specified limits.  A brochure describing the nature and limits of coverage is available upon request or at www.cipf.ca

Does Snowden Financial charge fees or commissions?

We have the flexibility to structure investment accounts as either fee-based, or with embedded trailing commissions. This gives us the ability to offer clients the best solutions to assist them in accomplishing their goals.

How do I transfer assets from my current firm to Snowden Financial?

It's simple. After you open an account with us, you will sign new account documents and a transfer form to move your assets from your current firm to our custodian, National Bank Correspondents Network. We take care of the rest.

Are there fees to move my investments elsewhere if I decide Snowden Financial isn't the best fit for me and my family?

There are no transfer out fees and we do not recommend investments that have redemption fees, so you are able to transfer your investments elsewhere at no cost. However, we hope our client service and professional advice will keep you invested with us for the long term.
